The StarBand 481 satellite modem is perfect for residential customers or telecommuters (those working from home) who want high-speed Internet access at an affordable price. This modem is compatible with operating systems supporting TCP/IP protocol such as Windows®, Macintosh®, Unix® and Linux®. For optimal support, the StarBand Call Center strongly recommends the use of Operating Systems Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP, or Macintosh OS 9, OS X. The Call Center will also support Windows 98, 98 SE, and Me.
The StarBand 484 satellite modem is perfect for small businesses. With the StarBand 484, you have the ability to network numerous PCs through a built-in 4-port Ethernet router. You also benefit from fast download speeds and our fastest upload speeds to date (up to 256 kbps in Turbo Max®). This modem is compatible with operating systems supporting TCP/IP protocol such as Windows®, Macintosh®, Unix® and Linux®. For optimal support, the StarBand Call Center strongly recommends the use of Operating Systems Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP, or Macintosh OS 9, OS X. The Call Center will also support Windows 98, 98 SE, and Me.
